Private Work Fees
The NHS provides free health care for most people.
It is important to understand that GPs are self employed and not all of the services we provide are covered by the NHS payments to the practice.
Please expect a fee for non NHS services. The staff or your doctor should inform of any charges before carrying out non NHS work.
Click here to see fee list as of June 2025.
Passports
As a practice we do not offer to countersign passport applications and photographs.
This is because there are many people who can do this, and the Government does not want doctors to be asked.
Flying when pregnant
For most airlines you do not need to see your GP if flying when less than 28 weeks pregnant. Check your airline’s policy for further information.
If you are over 28 weeks but less than 37 weeks (32 weeks in the case of twin/multiple pregnancies) you may need a GP letter.
All flights must be completed by week 37 of your pregnancy.
There will be a fee for any letter required as it is not covered by the NHS.
Please follow the link for further information or ask one of our care navigators at the practice.
